This directory indexes 25,986 EPA Toxic Release Inventory (TRI) facilities, 49,190 Safe Drinking Water Information System (SDWIS) community water systems, and 1,839 Superfund National Priorities List (NPL) sites across 56 U.S. states and territories. Nationwide SDWIS extracts in this portal carry 206,335 water-system violation rows; those rows are federal disclosure history, not a current compliance verdict for any tap.
Texas leads on TRI facility count (2,342 sites), while New Jersey lists the most Superfund NPL sites (153). On SDWIS health-violation rows, Texas shows 1,807 systems with a health-based violation (39.1% of its 4,620 systems). Texas carries the highest aggregate violation-row count (35,614) in this extract.
